Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys reading nonfiction, particularly works that delve into African and African American history. Among his favorite books are The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Black Labor, White Wealth by Dr. Claude Anderson, Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome by Dr. Joy DeGruy, The Isis Papers by Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, and The Blueprint for Black Power by Dr. Amos Wilson. His hobbies include sports like boxing and football, music genres such as gospel, hip-hop, and go-go, as well as cooking, chess, and dominos.
